Under Suleiman I Libya belonged for 46 years to the Osman. empire.
If Erdoğ. supports the UNO-accredited government in Tripolis I find this less objectionable than France supporting a warlord (who likely strives to establish an autocratic regime) only because these two actors have reached an agreement on the exploitation of a number of Libyan oil wells . . .
