Iran is expected to dominate the talks, amid continuing uncertainty over the conflict and efforts to reach a negotiated settlement.
The meeting comes after signs of strain between the two leaders over the conduct and direction of the Iran war. They are also expected to discuss the U.S.-Israeli framework agreement with Lebanon following the Israel-Hezbollah conflict and efforts to expand the Abraham Accords. Netanyahu is in Washington as well to attend the funeral of Senator Lindsey Graham.
