Protests by supporters of imprisoned Istanbul mayor Ekrem Imamoglu have taken on new dimensions as students join the protests. At the same time, neighboring Greece has expressed concern about the unrest in Turkey.
Thousands of students gathered in the Besiktas district of Istanbul's European side on Monday evening, before marching to the Istanbul City Hall.
The students joined a rally by supporters of Imamoglu that has been gathering in front of the Istanbul City Hall every night since his arrest.
