Not Quite the Property Deal
#490654 / 106 mal angesehenTrump has long pushed for U.S. ownership of Greenland, but a new agreement with Denmark and Greenland stops short of transferring sovereignty. The deal would give the United States a permanent security role and allow an expanded U.S. military presence on the island, while Denmark and Greenland say their sovereignty and Greenlanders’ right to self-determination remain intact. The agreement is expected to be formally signed next week and still requires the necessary parliamentary procedures.
