An unprecedented heatwave is affecting France and a large part of Europe. Temperatures reached 35°C near London and 39°C in some areas of France, which is uncharacteristic for the month of May. Scientists say human-induced climate change is making extreme weather events like heatwaves, droughts and floods more intense, resulting in temperature records being broken more frequently
