B V Panduranga Rao a free lance Cartoonist, INDIA , is a retired Senior Manager from Bhilai Steel Plant, Bhilai from Madhya Pradesh who now lives in Karnataka. Panduranga Rao born in Mysore , Karnataka, INDIA on 20.9.1944 did his three years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering before joining Bhilai Steel Plant in 1965. He was the President of Karnataka Cartoonists Association and he is a Member of Indian Institute of Cartoonists. Over 5ooo cartoons have been published in various News Dailies, Magazines, Technical Journals, In – house publications, Comics etc. in three languazes .That is in English, Kannada and Hindi, His Cartoons have been used for various purposes As a free lance cartoonist not sticking on to only one theme or two his cartoons covers on Politics , Social issues, Environment, Sports, Safety, light humour , spot Caricaturing and any subject interesting for him. Mr Rao has been also practicing on creating 2D animation clips for fun and entertainment. His many works has been posted in his own web sites, You tube and Metacafe. He has created several blogs on internet posted with cartoons, slide shows, videos etc. He has participated in many National and Inter National Cartoon Contests. He has won over dozen of Prizes at National level and his cartoons have been selected over 30 times at International level cartoon Contests Exhibitions and also printed in 29 cartoon Catalogues from countries like Korea, Israel, Serbia, Portugal, Russia, Turkey, Croatia, Taiwan, Cyprus, Brazil and India. His cartoons were selected for exhibition at BD- 87 at Switzerland. He has also conducted One Man Show of Cartoons 40 times so far, all over the country. All these achievements have been entered as National record in prestigious Limca Book of Records and India Book of records. His creation of smallest size Flip Book animation has been included in Limca Book of Records , India Book of Records,World Records India, Unique world Records, Elite World Records and in Record Setter World. on line web Gallery. His creation of smallest Desk Calender also has got entry entry in Limca book of World records 2012 and India Book of records 2012 His recent creation of Largest Size hand made environment awareness cartoons calendar has been a Record setter World Record and approved by Limca Book of Records, India Book of Records and unique Book of world Records. Panduranga Rao was felicitated with Life Time Achievement Award by the former President of India Dr APJ Abdul Kalam at Cartoon Festival – 2011 at New Delhi.
